Jammin' Java Music Club and Cafe
227 Maple Ave. E, Vienna, VA 22180
Come and R-O-C-K out for a good cause with GoodDogz.org at our Rock 4 Rescue benefit concert! Held at the area's premier music venue, Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA, this is an event your won't want to miss!
Kickoff the evening with Laura Secker, an energetic but personal performer with smart lyrics, percussive guitar stylings and killer vocals.
The evening continues with headliner Scott Ramminger & The CrawStickers playing swing, R&B, blues, soul, N'awlins, rock, funk, jazz, and even some stuff with a bit of twang to it. Greasy, good time music. If you like to dance, that's great. If you don't, we want to see you at least doing that chair boogie thing. It's all about the groove and BIG FUN. Make sure to stick around for the great door prizes, too!!
Tickets are $15 pre-registered and $20 at the door. Ticket price includes one drink ticket, music, munchies, and door prize drawings.
Door prize sponsors:
Laura Secker
There is an eerie, otherworldly sweetness to Laura Secker’s voice and songwriting that will make your heart stand at
attention every time you hear her sing. Her tones and her way with the crowd make her loveable and frightening at the same
time. Loveable because her voice and demeanor are so pretty, and frightening because her songs are an eclectic mix of
heartache, confusion, and bliss on roads that never end. Laura’s music paints a picture of a life not less ordinary, but
of a life more explored, questioned and designed that most of us would dare to do. Laura examines the lows that we too
often can’t put into words and brings a crooked smile and ironic dose of wit to the highs that we sometimes can’t trust. Check out her tunes!
Scott Ramminger & The CrawStickers
We like to think this music will stick in your craw (in a good way). And the name is a vague nod to some of the New Orleans influence you'll hear (along with a stew pot full of other stuff from Chicago Blues, to Stax/Motown R&B, to Soul Jazz, to Nashville Twang). Our instrumentation includes vocals, sax, guitar, bass, drums, and usually piano. Extra horn players are always a possibility. We pass around the vocal duty throughout the band, and sometimes several of us chime in together. That, along with our ability to cover a wide variety of types of music, is one of the things that gives us some extra zip and helps keep things interesting. Their tunes ROCK!
